About HIT Recognition
We Exist
To Protect
Every Athlete.
HIT was born from a simple but urgent belief โ that no athlete should leave a field, trail, or track without knowing their brain is safe.
We set out to build technology that bridges the gap between the complexity of head impact science and the everyday reality of sport โ giving athletes, parents, and coaches the information they need to make smarter, safer decisions.
Who We Are
Making sport
safer for
every brain.
At every level of sport โ from grassroots youth teams to UCI World Cup athletes โ HIT exists to make sure that every head impact is understood, every brain is protected, and every athlete can compete with confidence.
We make sport safer for everyone involved in impact-prone or helmeted activities โ keeping athletes competing, parents stress-free, and driving the possibilities of concussion technology forward.
We detect the often-invisible effects of head impacts, ensuring transparency and a greater understanding of these injuries. Whether elite, recreational, or a child โ you only get one brain.
We're committed to mandating concussion protocol across all high-impact sports โ increasing participation by making sport safer, aiding recovery, reducing secondary trauma, and improving performance.
Built on Years of Innovation
From a concept sketch to the world's most accessible head-impact awareness device โ here's how we got here.
The Concept
Every great product starts with a problem worth solving. In 2019, we asked a simple question: what if athletes, parents and coaches could actually see the forces the brain experiences on impact?
HIT Impact V1
Minimal Form. Maximum Focus.
Smaller. Simpler. Built for reliable impact monitoring.
HIT+
More Data. Same Focus.
HIT+ added GPS, rotational force tracking, onboard memory and multi-helmet connectivity.
HIT Connect
Less is more.
A low-profile design, improved battery life and cleaner athlete & team functionality.
HIT Connect V2
More Battery. More Intelligent. More Capability.
HIT's most advanced device yet.
The Science
The invisible
injury you
can't feel.
The lack of information available for an invisible and often symptomless head injury can be detrimental to recovery and performance.
Because your brain lacks nociceptors โ the nerve fibers responsible for detecting pain โ it cannot alert you of an injury. Unlike the feeling of muscle fatigue after a run, brain fatigue comes in the form of cognitive, psychological and physical symptoms which can often be disregarded or mistaken for everyday life. Just as you wouldn't exercise the same muscle group two days in a row, your brain also needs rest to restore.
Your brain deserves more.
Just like your heart, your brain controls vital functions โ yet it's hugely under-researched. Existing research is primarily focused on elite and male athletes, leaving huge gaps in knowledge for women, youth, and everyday sport participants.
Return to learn.
Head impacts in children and their effect on learning abilities remain largely under-researched. 'Return to learn' is gaining interest amongst guardians and schools are paying greater attention to pupil wellbeing. Those with neurodiverse conditions โ including ADHD โ can experience more severe and prolonged symptoms post-impact.
More data. Better answers.
By joining the HIT community, you enable us to generate more diverse research โ accessing a broader range of sports and genders. Our wearable technology presents a game-changing solution for safety in sports and impact-prone activities.
The Technology
Data-driven.
Science-backed.
Life-changing.
HIT measures triaxial linear G-Force, rotational forces, speed and elevation โ generating a comprehensive dataset for real-time impact analysis.
HIT technology is backed by research. It analyses information in real-time and helps eliminate uncertainty โ providing transparency of the magnitude of impacts and guidance as to what action is advised. This allows parents, coaches and individuals to make data-driven decisions with complete confidence about when to return to play or seek medical assistance.
This technology is an innovative step toward safeguarding amateur and professional athletes while empowering them and their coaches or guardians with full transparency and actionable insights.
Through accumulative impact readings, HIT is actively providing live data on brain fatigue โ ensuring athletes can be at their peak for competition and keeping sports enthusiasts and children safe.
Managing post-impact recovery, enhancing performance and preventing the risk of secondary trauma โ HIT gives you the insight needed to act with complete confidence.
Our innovative, data-driven tech means you can have peace of mind in deciding when a user should return to play, seek rest or pursue further medical guidance.
Our scientifically proven, data-driven technology is essential to creating a safer future for you and generations to come.
